Ecofilm – Fish in Focus
An ambitious, groundbreaking project aimed at raising awareness of the numerous environmental challenges facing Scandinavian aquatic life.

<p><strong><span lang="EN-US">In summer 2018,</span></strong><span class="apple-converted-space"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></span><b><span lang="EN-US">Fish in Focus</span></b><span class="apple-converted-space"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">started their work in Swedish lakes, rivers, marshlands and coastlines, with the goal is to capture the mysterious aquatic life on film. The work has already resulted in numerous educational films, event and talks. And more is to come. The documentation of life in Swedish waters is continuing. Dedicated photographers, film makers and experts, are spending whole seasons in the field to reveal interesting happenings.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p>
<p><strong><span lang="EN-US">The project</span></strong><span class="apple-converted-space"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">aims to raise awareness of the factors behind declining fish stocks – both in Scandinavia and worldwide. Over-fishing, hydro power, industrial waste, plastic, overfertilization, climate change, habitat loss and poaching are just some of the threats facing these unique habitats.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p>
<p><strong><span lang="EN-US">By presenting beautiful</span></strong><span lang="EN-US">, compelling imagery of our aquatic ecosystems, it is more likely that people in general, as well as decision makers, will engage in preserving these most precious of resources. Seeing the ecosystems beneath the surface with your own eyes, gives a more profound understanding of their importance to us humans – and hopefully they will be more difficult to ignore.</span></p>
