<p><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Barnrättsbyrån</strong> constitutes a unique function in Sweden to which children can turn for social and legal support, advice and practical help in matters concerning their rights and in the event of rights violations. All children and young people between the ages of 0-21 are welcome to contact Barnrättsbyrån for help. The organization often reaches a vulnerable group of children who find themself in difficult life situations. The children they meet all share the experience of not being listened to by the adult world and many of them have been harmed by the systems set up to help them. </span><span lang="EN-US">Barnrättsbyrån works on behalf of these children. The children often want help to understand their situation, what rights they are entitled to and to have someone by their side when in contact with the authorities – and perhaps most importantly – someone who listens and takes them seriously.</span></p> <p>Learn more: <a href="https://barnrattsbyran.se" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a></p>

<p><strong>Scholarships</strong> are available every year, exclusively for applicants from Eastern Europe (including Moldova, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia) and Turkey. <div> <p>The Human Practice Foundation (HPF), founded in 2014 by Former Corporate Lawyer, Pernille Kruse Madsen, focuses on uplifting impoverished communities, starting with education.</p> </div> <div> <p>HPF’s unique Child Empowerment Model centers on a child’s agency, aiming to eliminate obstacles hindering their future choices. This includes providing conducive learning environments within well-equipped school buildings, combating poverty, and ensuring access to quality education.</p> </div> <div> <p>HPF <span class="searchHighlight">support</span>s 44,000 children and >110 public schools across 8 districts in Nepal and Kenya through local organizations, employing ~70 people. <p style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Water1st is committed to household piped water supply, freeing women and girls around the world from the burden of water collection and liberating their time and energy for education and paid employment. </span></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Water flowing from a household tap makes it possible to perform the most critical public health activities like washing hands. Piped water has also been proven to increase income, educational achievement for girls, and the likelihood the water system will be sustainable.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Since 2005, Water1st has constructed more than 4,700 water systems, eliminating over 123 million hours of grueling water-carrying by females. The return on investment in these projects based on time-savings alone is 700+%. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communities in low-income settings around the world face many challenges. The pathway to a better future begins with household access to piped water.</span></p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>SCALING SUCCESSFUL INTEGRATION</strong></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">WOW was founded in Halmstad in 2013, to create a meeting point for women who otherwise never would have met. WOW’s operation is built on two pillars: MeetUP and OneGoal.</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">MeetUP includes social activities in a larger group with 50/50 migrant women/established Swedes. Monthly lunches follow a set agenda with topics ranging from democracy to personal finances and domestic violence. The purpose is pro-active integration.</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">OneGoal is the process where an established Swede helps a migrant woman land a job with 1:1 coaching. Every step is detailed in a manual available online. The process takes less than 30 hours of volunteering and leads to 75% of women landing a job (internships does not count).</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">As of spring of 2022 WOW is operating in Karlstad, Stockholm and Helsingborg.
